Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2023
This is an English translation of Between's Arabic privacy policy. If there is any difference between the two versions, the Arabic version prevails.
Who we are
Our website address is: https://www.between.sa.
Introduction
Our privacy policy describes how we collect, store and protect your personal information, and it is important that you, as a user, review it. By "personal information" we mean information that can be linked to a specific person and used to identify that person. The website does not consider anonymous information to be personal information, because it cannot be used to identify a specific person.
We collect personal information from you when you use the website (the "Website"), including, without limitation, when you call us or email our customer support team. By providing us with your personal information, you expressly consent to its processing in accordance with the terms of our privacy policy.
The Website may amend these terms at any time by publishing an amended version on the Website. The amended version takes effect as soon as it is published, and your continued use of the Website after that constitutes your express consent to our continued processing of your personal information under the amended privacy terms.
What personal data we collect and why
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see whether you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (for example videos, images and articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with it if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with

- Certain legal obligations sometimes require us to provide some personal data to other parties. These include disclosing data as required by law and detecting or preventing fraud.

How do we protect your data?
We work hard to make sure that the records we hold about you are kept in a secure place and are accessible only to those entitled to see them. One of the ways we protect these records is by taking technical and organisational measures, for example:

- training employees on how to keep your data safe;
- putting controls and rules on where data is stored;
- disposing of personal data once it is no longer needed.
How long do we keep your data?
We keep your personal data for as long as we need it for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet any legal, regulatory, accounting or reporting requirements, based on a defined retention period. The period may vary depending on the circumstances of the data subject. We review the period continuously to make sure your data is not kept longer than necessary.
